Heat treatments such as quenching or our exclusive NITREG ONC process alter the surface properties of steel, and verifying their effectiveness requires the right tools. Doing this in-house, without relying on external labs, means saving time, avoiding errors, and — above all — maintaining full control over the production process.
The inspection of raw materials, which sometimes have special characteristics or are selected based on specific customer requirements, is equally critical: at Europress, we can perform every necessary check even before starting production. For NITREG ONC, we closely monitor the protective layer and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-lasting and consistent performance.
Our technicians work daily to verify the quality and reliability of our products. To guarantee this, our lab is equipped with:
– 3D measuring machine – for dimensional analysis of finished parts and in-process samples
– Hardness tester – to measure the hardness of raw materials and treated components
– 200-ton load cell – to verify the actual force of hydraulic components
– Microscope and microhardness tester – for microstructural inspection after NITREG ONC treatment
– Roughness tester – for surface finish checks on critical elements
– Master digital pressure gauges (0.05% accuracy) – for calibrating internal and customer gauges
– Certified metrology instruments – gauge blocks, calibrated rods, ring gauges
– Dedicated analysis software – to interpret results from thermochemical treatments
