Nitreg ONC: The Technology That Makes the Difference

It has been more than 30 years that we combine nitriding and post-oxidation to transform the surface chemical structure of steel down to every detail. Whether it’s a simple shape or a challenging geometry, we ensure uniform treatment and top performance. The Nitreg ONC treatment, standard on all our steel products, allows us to deliver quality and exceptional performance in terms of resistance and long-lasting durability across all surfaces, including dynamic contact and connection areas. What sets us apart from competitors? – Unmatched Resistance: Enhanced by a special oil that impregnates surfaces, making them virtually immune to corrosion. – Unbeatable Internal Performance: Perfect even for parts that cannot be painted. – Extreme Durability: Successfully withstands over 200 hours in salt spray testing (ASTM B117). – Versatility in Extreme Environments: Ideal for marine, aggressive, and high-wear contexts. What sets us apart? Our products, recognizable by their distinctive black color, not only pass rigorous testing but also guarantee reliable performance even in critical conditions. With in-house production, high-quality steel, and rapid delivery times, we are committed to providing solutions that combine excellence with efficiency. These principles have allowed us to become even more competitive in our market, thanks to the dedication, commitment, and proactive and responsible attitude of all Europress team members. A team that deserved recognition: we are pleased to announce that, thanks to the recent labor agreement with UILM UIL, represented by Mauro Rinotti, our company has provided extraordinary contributions to our employees, rewarding them with a productivity bonus, subject to a reduced substitute tax rate of 10%. We extend our gratitude to the UILM UIL union for their support and collaboration, and to all our employees for their sense of belonging and the dedication they bring to their work every day. Together, we continue to grow and innovate!

Our quality? We produce metal chips

Visitors to our facility are always amazed by the sheer volume of shavings we produce, rows of large containers filled with gleaming, sharp metal curls. It’s the tangible sign mark of a process that starts from solid steel bars, to obtain precision-machined single-piece mechanical components without welded or other joints. A true hallmark of quality and reliability. What makes our steel products even more special is our exclusive Nitreg ONC treatment, which provides extraordinary resistance to corrosion and wear, making them virtually eternal. Every step of the process is meticulously monitored: from the analysis of raw materials to the testing of finished components, ensuring nothing but excellence in every detail. Our metal chips, after all, tell a story of craftsmanship, innovation, and Italian excellence.

Reno bell tower

Repositioning Reno bell tower The heart quake occurred in May 2021 damaged severely the church of Reno Centese, in particular it generated a crack which caused the shifting and the rotation of the bell tower starting from 8 meters up to the top of the bell tower itself. In May 2021 the reorganization and repositioning operations were carried out which provided for the safety of the structure with the construction of a basement and support piles, on which four steel beams which had the task of supporting the shaft of the ball tower once separated from the base, by diamond wire cutting. Euro Press Pack contributed to this spectacular and fragile intervention with its hydraulic equipment, in particular the CGG cylinder series with its mechanical ring nut which lifted and maintained in position the shaft of the ball tower after the cut and the CMF hollow ram cylinder series which rotated and translated the bell tower in its original position.

New high speed station in Florence

Florence, Italia After various stops, the last one in 2016 and the collapse of the Nodavia consortium, the works for the construction of the new high speed station in Florence have taken off under the direct guidance of RFI. For the start of the job all the Tav operations have been assigned to a new company entirely owned by RFI called Infrarail srl. The company was born in September 2019 with the goal to develop the project of the high speed route of the Florence intersection and to build the new Av Florence Belfiore railway station. Railway overpass RFI – Ravenna

Sector: Infrastructure and Structural interventions Location: Ravenna Intervention: Pulling Rods tensioning for the new “Teodorico” Bridge Hydraulic equipment utilized: CMF hollow piston cylinder and PN double stage hand pumps   March 2021- Ravenna. A new railway overpass has been built by “Rete Ferroviaria Italiana” (Italian FS Group), in substitution of the old “Teodorico” bridge. The dimensions of the old bridge didn’t allow the passage of cargo trains which transported semi-trailers or big lorries. For its construction have been employed 440 tons of steel, shaped and cut with more than 6 thousand hours of work. It has a length of 58 meters, a wideness of 19 meters and it goes over the railway at a height of 7 meters. The work is isostatically constrained at the ends by support devices and its suspended vertically from the steel arches by 13 Pulling Rods on each side with a diameter of 80 mm placed at intervals of 3.52m. The metallic structure, assembled inside the building site, has been launched at the end of December 2020. The “skeleton” of the new bridge has been initially lifted by the means of hydraulic cylinders and then placed on special lowered trolleys, finally the correct tensioning of the pulling rods was carried out. EuroPressPack supplied the hydraulic cylinders and hand pumps which have been used for the initial positioning of the deck and for the tensioning of the tie-rods which fasten the deck to the arches. 2 hollow 30 ton piston cylinder each, were able to allow the delicate operation of tensioning the Mcalloy bars. The cylinders have been mounted in parallel and they connected through the tie-rods two vises which tightened the two extremities which needed to be drawn near.
